The Bible Plagues run worldwide

Rage of God or Nature's revenge
The three part series about the scientific of the Bibical story of the plagues  (writer: Gabi Wengler, Sandra Papadopoulos; director: Gabi Wengler) was very successfully aired by ZDF on  June 14th, 21st and 28th primetime. France 5 will broadcast it around Christmas. Our distribution partner ZDF Enterprises just sold the series to National Geographic US and National Geographic International.

"Fliegen heißt siegen". The hidden history of the Lufthansa - Date of broadcast fixed

The date of broadcast for our Film "Fliegen heisst Siegen" (To fly means to win") has been fixed. The film by Christoph Weber tells the story of the German "Deutsche Lufthansa" before it's new foundation after the WW2. It reveals the deep involvement of the airline company in the politics of the Nazis. The film is commissioned by WDR, HR and ARTE and will be broadcast on ARTE on July 21st.

"Charlemagne" casts his shadow

The preproduction of our docudrama about "Charlemagne - The True Story of Europe's Greatest Emperor", has reached the next stage. With development support of the WDR and MEDIA we are about to finalize the script of a factual drama on the basis of scientific and historic research.

taglicht's domestic focus

Since it's very beginning taglicht media has been producing one offs and series for the German domestic market. Actually we are about to deliver two series for the Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR):
"Auf Schicht" ("At work") - a four part series about the industrial history in Western Germany seen through the eyes of the workers.
"Meine Kindheit..." ("When I was a child") - a three part series with individual childhood stories in West Germany interwoven with archive footage.

Once again awarded!

We are proud that Herbert Ostwald's documentary ”The Mission of the Rats” was now already awared six times in different categories. Currently the production is nominated on a variety of festivals and among others the well-kown Sundance Festival in California is interested in a screening. Fingers crossed!
